An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop this new role.
Reporting directly to the Central Services Director, the successful applicant will be required to work closely with our IT partners (a consultant who works in the office 2 days per week and our off-site IT partners) as well as helping in the mentoring of an IT apprentice.
Key responsibilities will include overseeing the diagnosing, repair and maintenance of hardware and software components, including installing and configuring computer hardware, software report writing and software development (Efacs, BIRT), as well as being the primary point of contact for IT support within the AF Group.
It would be desirable that the successful candidate holds a qualification in Computer Science or a related field and have 2+ years of experience in computer networks and system maintenance. SQL and JAVA experience, excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills will also be required.
Responsibility for preparing yearly budgets, managing subscriptions and application development will also feature in this busy and varied role.
