The Role:
To assemble electrical control panels/switchgear accurately and effectively in line with our safety standards.
- Understand panel design from wiring diagrams
- Understand and interpret electrical schematics
- Supporting installation, modifications, and maintenance of all products
- Adhering to expected quality standards through the assembly build process
- Work within a controlled environment and to deadlines provided by Team leader
- Act within the Company’s policies and procedures as set out in the Company handbook
- Any other duties conducive to the role and business which are considered to be within your capability
The Candidate
- Previous experience in Switchgear panel building
- Apprentice or time-served in an electrical discipline, such as installations or panel wiring or an electrical qualification
- Familiar with mechanical assembly of devices and copper busbar systems
- Knowledge of panel assembly/fabrication techniques
- Proficiency in the use of hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Prepared to spend long periods away from home (an essential requirement for site operative personnel)
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Have a flexible approach to overtime
- Hold a full driving licence
