VAR Service Engineer

We are looking for a Service Engineer.

Reporting to the General Manager the role will include, but is not exclusive to:

Carry out servicing of Power Factor Correction LV panels and recording test and servicing results in a neat and methodical manner.
Completing site service documentation.
Issue service reports and recommendations to customers, prepare any further quotations that may be required following maintenance activities.
Acting as support for other office-based and site service colleges
Serving as point of contact for site service customers.
Carry out servicing of other Power Quality equipment recording test and servicing results in a neat and methodical manner.
Ensure work is up to specification, that quality standards are maintained and work is completed in specified time and in accordance with safe working practices.
Ensure your engineering competencies are kept up to date.
Carry out repairs to LV Power Factor Equipment.

Skills required:

Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and confident learning and using other PC based apps.
A knowledge of LV panels and competency in using test and measuring equipment
Full clean driving licence.
Attention to detail.
Occasional working outside normal working hours will be required as well as staying away overnight.
One new full-time position available for site service engineers in a small friendly engineering company to help expand the existing site engineering team. Training, where required, will be provided. This is a varied and interesting position in a growth area of the electrical energy market.

We are looking for a Maintenance Operative to assist the Maintenance Engineer with carrying out skilled DIY & maintenance work as instructed by the CSD Manager

Repair and maintenance of buildings fixtures and fittings, including general plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting and decorating, assisting with office moves including removal of office furniture and equipment, litter picking across all sites, general vehicle maintenance including valets, taking meter readings, daily waste checks to ensure company compliance standards are met, and assistance with outside waste carriers collections are all examples of the tasks required.

Hours: 39 per week

Sales Office CAD Technician

We are looking for a Sales Office CAD Technician to join our expanding Sales Team. Reporting to the Sales Director, the successful applicant will be estimating and tendering enquiries and securing new orders.

Duties will include, but are not restricted to:

Creation of Sales General Arrangement Layout drawings using AutoCAD working from sketches produced by our internal and external teams, customer drawings and specifications.
Following receipt of order for a project, creation of contract general arrangement layout drawings and single line power schematics using AutoCAD working from our tenders and customer information.
Maintenance and upkeep of the CAD drawing blocks and templates including the creation of new drawings for modified and new products we use in manufacture.
Assist Sales Department and clients with space planning.

Site Services Engineer

We are looking for a Site Services Engineer to join our Site Services Team. Reporting to the Site Services Manager, the successful applicant is responsible for preparing and submitting quotations, preparing detailed designs and specific contract works instructions documentation and preparing and planning for upcoming site works.

Day Shift & Night Shift – After Paint Assembler

AF Fabrications, part of the AF Switchgear group.

The established in-house design team are supported on the shop floor by state-of-the-art CNC Controlled Punch Machine & Powder Coating Paint Plant.

JOB ROLE

AF Fabrications are looking for reliable individuals to expand their team. There are positions available for day shift and night shift assemblers. Day shift hours are 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday and night shift hours are 16:00 to 02:00 Monday to Thursday.

Successful applicants will be trained in line with AF Fabrications processes and procedures before commencing on the 16:00 to 02:00 shift. During the training period, hours of work will be 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday.

Successful applicants will be also be required to undergo training in Quality, First Aid and as a Fire Marshall.

Key requirements of the role are:

Assembling of painted parts prior to despatch
Adhere to the job pack information, including signing Job Pack forms

Technicians – Trainee Technicians

Job Title:

Technician ~ Production

Purpose of the job:

To assist in testing and commissioning of switchgear and control panels. To provide technical assistance as part of call out cover.

Duties and responsibilities:

To carry out commissioning, SAT and IST as required
To carry out on site training
To visit sites to carry out site / switchgear surveys
To be on call for one week in every four to attend site as part of the emergency call out agreements.
To provide technical support both on site and in the works

To discuss opportunities to increase productivity with the Operations Manager / Team Leaders

To monitor and maintain cleanliness and tidiness in and around your working area.

Stores Picker / General Assistant

We are looking for reliable Stores personnel to join our expanding Production Team. The successful candidates will be required to carry out duties including but not exclusive to:

Ensure parts requested from the Assembly build lanes are picked and delivered in a timely manner and that the items are allocated to the correct contract, in accordance with ISO9001 operating procedures
Issuing contract, stock and other required materials to the production teams as directed to ensure build schedules are maintained in a timely manner
Receive goods inwards from suppliers and sub-contractors and inspecting and handling these in accordance with Company procedures stated within the ISO9001 Quality System
Ensuring tools and measuring equipment are in calibration when issuing to requests
Ensure vehicles are maintained in line with current procedures and any defects found recorded and arrangements made to rectify
Carry out duties as defined by Team Leader

The ability to use your initiative and be flexible to the demands of workload, as well as being able to work as part of a team, and a full driving licence, are key requirements for this position.

FLT Licence – Counterbalance.

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week (to be discussed)
