AF Switchgear is one of the UK’s largest switchgear manufacturers and set the standard for LV Switchgear and Power Distribution.

We manage every process in house from concept design with end clients and consultants through to commissioning and service. 

AF Switchgear, Central Services Department is looking for a Business Administration  Apprentice. Working in conjunction with West Notts College to obtain a Level 2 Customer  Service Practitioner or a Level 3 Business Administration qualification, the successful candidate will be responsible to Central Services Supervisor. 

JOB ROLE 

Key aspects of the role will be, but are not exclusive to: 

  • Placing orders, entering parts and maintaining databases on Efacs system Mail collection and delivery (tray runs)
  • Filing, archiving and scanning
  • Maintaining catering and stationery supplies in all departments
  • Assisting with telephone answering
  • Assisting with any catering requirements
  • Supply of contract/site/work files to Engineering
  • Carry out general and other duties as delegated by Central Services Supervisor/Central Services Director
  • Creation of Switchboard labels

Must have achieved Grade C or above in Maths & English GCSE or equivalent.
